Chapter 55 - Cloud Nine

Things are going pretty darn well in my life right now. I feel great for multiple reasons and I couldn't be any happier.

Teddy is on a play date with my friend's dog Hobbs. They are spending the day together at my friend's place so Hobbs doesn't get lonely. I think it's kind of cute.

I leave for Texas early tomorrow morning. I am looking forward to laying underneath the stars, taking pictures of the beautiful terrain surrounding the Frio, spending time with my family, and floating the river with a drink in my hand.

I'll be disconnected from the 24/7 connectivity of the internet but I suppose that will be good for me.

Can't wait to take pictures and share them!

Chapter 54 - Life is What You Make of It

Drinking and fun on Saturday.
Puppy bithday party in the park yesterday.
Vacation in three days.

Life is good.

Chapter 53 - When Dreams Seem Like Reality

I woke up this morning thinking, "Where in the hell did that come from?". An attraction from way out in left field invaded my dreams. Granted it had run across my mind a time or two due to the natural human reaction when meeting a single guy but this time it won't go away. I wish I could go back to sleep and have another dream so I could forget last night's. However, its the early afternoon so sleeping time is far away. Damn.

Everything has gotten better. My AC is fixed, phone is arriving tomorrow, and this past weekend was pretty fun.

Can't think of much else... more to come later.

Chapter 52 - Things Always Get Better

Last week's entry was no bueno and Monday morning things got worse. My phone died and I ripped my shirt. Seriously, I did something to someone to piss the man upstairs off. I didn't get fustrated or upset. I just kept telling myself things will get better, things will get better, THINGS WILL GET BETTER. And guess what? They did. Mostly just my additude and realizing sometimes you just have to make the best out of what is handed to you. For example, my phone died but the new Droid X came out today so I decided to order it and be 'cool'. My geeky friends are jealous, reminds me how much I love having nerdy friends that have the same interest in technology as I do.

Lots going on this week. My aunt is in town with her friends. She's 29 so our relationship is a little different than normal. Everytime we get together it's like a reunion with my best friend. Seriously, we talk about ANYTHING. Party at JF's again tomorrow night. Droid X arrives tomorrow morning. AC man is finally supposed to show up tomorrow, so hopefully I will have a cooler apartment soon.

Life is good.

Chapter 51 - Better Days

It's Friday and I should be in a great mood but I'm not.

To sum it up:

• My AC is broken and going on day five of waiting to be fixed. 
• I was automatically enrolled in a 'secuirty' program charging monthly on TWO of my credit cards.
• A person couldn't take a simple joke.
• My secuirty at badge at work hasn't been working for a week so I have to go out of my way to get into work.
• I'm still broke but hell that hasn't really changed since the last time I wrote. :)

Trying to stay postive. I'm still alive, I can feed myself and my children, I can pay the bills, and I have great friends and family. It's just so damn hard sometimes.

Things are looking up hanging out with some of my co-workers at JF's apartment. Yay!

Chapter 50 - Budgets Smudgits

It's official. I LC am poor. Let me explain. I can pay all my bills, rent and whatnot BUT there is no extra money at the end of the month to go to savings or fun things for that matter. Therefore, I am now on a stricter budget. Less eating out, less spending on frivlous things, and more of finding deals. Being a grownup is no fun sometimes. What is a girl to do when one paycheck goes to rent and the other has to last a month. The answer: eat ramen.
